When I released Sleeved, I meant it when I said “no ads”. Ads are the bane of my existence – they’re obtrusive, look extremely gaudy and just don’t lend to a good user experience, which is the one thing I prided myself on as I built Sleeved. Good UX’s are hard to come by, and while I am not UX designer myself, I put a lot of time and effort into thinking about “what makes this a good UX for TCG players?”

You’re here to build decks – not scroll past random ads for stuff you don’t care about. That hasn’t changed, and it never will. However, building & maintaining a multi-TCG deck builder takes time & resources, and sponsorships are how I plan to keep the lights on without putting a paywall on features or plastering Sleeved with a bunch of junk. The difference is I’ll only align with brands that are actually relevant – a brand that I personally would buy from. It’s the only way I can put my full faith into recommending something that aligns with me & my goals.

Dueling Guard is exactly that. They’ve been a great partner of ours for over a year and make absolutely amazing accessories – deck boxes, binders, bags, you name it! They take their quality seriously and none of the DGU/Main Phase crew have been disappointed with their purchases.

And so, Dueling Guard is now a sponsor of Sleeved, which gives you 15% off everything in their store by using our link @ https://duelingguard.com/mainphasetcg

Going forward, any sponsor I work with will show up in a dedicated spot on the site - transparent, clearly labeled and never mixed in with the product itself. You’ll always know who supports Sleeved and what perks come with it. That’s the deal I’m making with the community - if a brand wants to be part of this, they’ll do it by giving you something, not by interrupting your deck building.

If you have questions about the partnership or how I think about sponsors going forward, come find me in the Main Phase TCG Discord.

I've been writing software since I was a teenager, started because I wanted to make games. Every problem is a puzzle, and my honest belief is that almost nothing is impossible with software development. Currently building Sleeved, a multi-TCG deck builder & Neuroloom, a memory engine for coding agents.
